Post Office changes welcomed by MP

Gordon Henderson MP has welcomed the relocation of the Eastchurch Post Office.

Following a consultation with villagers, the post office, which is currently located at 55 High Street, Eastchurch, will be moving to 84 High Street, Eastchurch and will be offering an improved service, including an open plan till, located at the shop counter, and longer opening hours.

Post Office Counters Ltd Regional Network Manager, Will Russell, said,

“I’m delighted that this branch is part of the modernisation of our Post Office network and I am confident that the new branch is suitably located and will continue to meet the needs of the local community.”

Mr Henderson added,

“I very much hope that following this move Eastchurch Post Office will provide an even better service. I am particularly pleased to see that in future the village post office will be open longer hours, including Sundays. That is good news for both local residents and visitors.”
