GORDON HENDERSON MP

FOR SITTINGBOURNE & SHEPPEY

Hold your own (mini) Olympics!

27th July 2012
Hold your own (mini) Olympics!

Gordon Henderson, MP for Sittingbourne and Sheppey, is encouraging people of all ages to get involved in a new campaign called ‘Games4Life’. With the Olympics just around the corner, it’s the perfect opportunity to get active this summer.

The campaign is designed to show people how important, yet fun and easy, exercise can be. There are a variety of ways people can get involved. You can fill out a Games4Life questionnaire and receive a free, personalised, summer activity plan full of ideas to get going. You can also visit the website for inspiration on how to get moving. There’s even a new mobile app called ‘the Fun Generator’, with over 100 exciting ideas for indoor and outdoor activities.

Games4Life will be out and about over the summer, visiting places all over England. For a list of the confirmed venues, log on to:

Mr Henderson encourages his constituents to get involved:

“There is no excuse not to take part! Places such as Asda and Aldi have already pledged their support and will be promoting Games4Life through various events, sports related offers and promotional material.

“Over 4 million questionnaires are being distributed throughout England, so if your child comes home from school with one, don’t throw it away! It might be the perfect opportunity to make their summer fun and keep them fit and healthy.”
