My Kent Parliamentary colleagues and I have become increasingly alarmed at the suggestion that housing targets in our constituencies will be increased. This follows previous increases and are simply unsustainable.
We have today written to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government expressing our concerns and asking him to look again at the proposed changes.
This is something that we are not going to accept without a fight. The text of the letter is published in full below.
It is worth pointing out that a number of other Kent MPs would have signed the letter, but were unable to do so because they hold Government positions.
