Gordon Henderson MP announces Rock the House nominations

Gordon Henderson MP has today announced The Narratones as the Sittingbourne and Sheppey nomination for the Parliamentary competition Rock the House.

Rock the House, founded by Mike Weatherley MP, was set up to promote live music by asking bands and solo artists to enter a competition by uploading a song onto BandApp. Each MP then nominates one of them to proceed to the next stage and have their song judged by a panel of leading music industry professionals. The winner will be invited to play in the Houses of Parliament and will win prizes, ranging from festival slots, studio time and the use of specialised equipment.

The Narratones, from Sittingbourne and Sheppey, are a four-piece band made up of James Knights, on rhythm guitar and vocals, Nathan Vallis, on lead guitar and vocals, Darren Cast, on bass guitar and vocals and Matt Jenkins on drums.

Mr Henderson said:

“Sittingbourne and Sheppey has a number of impressive musicians and it is a pleasure to endorse their work to the panel of industry-leading judges who will preside over determining the overall winners. I wish The Narratones the best of luck as the competition progresses.”
